Mandy Lents Dixon

Mandy Lents Dixon played basketball and softball at Fannin County High School from 1986-1990. She earned four varsity letters in basketball and three in softball. She scored more than 1000 points during her career as a Lady Rebel. During her junior and senior seasons she was the leading scorer on the team, selected team MVP both seasons and was named as the Best Offensive Player both seasons. She was selected as the Northwest Georgia Tip-Off Club girls basketball Player of the Year in 1990. In 1989, she led the Lady Rebels to final 8 in the state tournament for the first time in school history. During her softball career, FCHS won two Region championships and one Subregion championship. After graduation from high school, Mandy received a basketball scholarship to attend Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia. During her career at Piedmont, she scored more than 1500 points and received the Hustle Award, Best Offensive Player and Most Valuable Player at various times. Mandy Dixon is currently a teacher at the Fannin County Middle School. She continues to be active in athletics, coaching her daughter in the Recreation Basketball League and through her son who plays three sports.
